Abberior rsEGFP2 is the successor of rsEGFP and was generated for faster RESOLFT imaging. The switching speed was increased by a factor of 6 -1 0 compared to rsEGFP. This directly translates into faster RESOLFT superresolution imaging and brings down pixel dwell times to 75 - 400 µs. Within this time span the typical 3-step RESOLFT process is applied ? activation, switching off and read-out. Reduced switching fatigue enables time lapse experiments with more image repetitions. The enhanced chromophore maturation (8 -10 times faster compared to rsEGFP) is advantageous for effective protein tagging in living mammalian cells.
rsEGFP2 is ideal for imaging with the commercial Abberior Instruments Expert Line RESOLFT Microscopes.
